Features
1. Special smelting engineering design is used for joint and pipe body, with special chemical composition and strict control of manufacturing process.
2. All threads and sealing surfaces should be phosphated to prevent sticking and corrosion. Couplings have hardbands and spacers for extended life.
3. Each heat treatment welding zone is quenched and tempered by the heat treatment system to ensure the strength and toughness of the welding zone and stable quality.
4. 100% of the friction welding area passes ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspection, and the heat affected zone is tested for hardness.
Drill pipe usage notes
1. New drill pipe should be pasted thread oil before connection
2. Make up and break at least 3 times before drilling
3. Hard bending and plastic coating can be processed according to costumer special requirement.
Advantages of friction welded drill pipe:
1) The best combination of drill pipe is realized, and the pipe body and joint can be made of different materials, which improves the heat treatment optimization performance. Other forms of drill pipe cannot be realized.
2) The joint has high mechanical properties and wear resistance. Longer service life than other forms of drill pipe.
3) Light weight, good flexibility.
4) The drilling fluid channel inside the drill pipe can be designed. The design of the inner hole channel of the threaded joint probe can fully consider reducing the hydraulic loss when passing, especially the loss caused by the threaded joint part, and can improve the working efficiency of the drilling fluid system.
5) With the improvement of welding equipment, welding process and technology and the improvement of heat treatment technology, the connection strength of friction welding has been higher than the strength of the base metal itself. The welding strength of the weld after the pier is thickened is higher than that of the base metal.
