Pipe In-situ Replacement System—Expansion Method
I. Overview
The expansion method for in-situ replacement utilizes specialized expander to generate controlled radial expansion forces within existing pipes. This uniformly enlarges or splits the old pipe diameter while simultaneously pulling new pipe into the expanded cavity. This single-pass process completes pipe rehabilitation by “expanding and replacing” without excavation or additional working pits.
